Dear Kerri, This past weekend we were at the LA National Horseshow here in Burbank, CA. Since the Del Mar show where we met you, Melinda and Thalan have been doing very well together. So, Liz said if Melinda wanted to try a higher level she could. They decided that she and Thalan would try meter 1.20 / modified, with the agreement that if she or Thalan did not do well, they would go back to 1.10.
They started out in a "throw away" class to see how Thalan would do in the ring/at the show. He got 3rd out of 74! So, they went on with the plan of moving up to 1.20 on the next day.
To make a long story short - Thalan and Melinda got Champion for the division at the LA National Show! This was the last show of the year - what a finish for them both!
We looked at the photos of one of her rounds, and the remarkable thing I see is that they both look relaxed and like they are having, of all things, "fun"! Thanks again for all your help!"
