How does it feel to no longer buy into the suggestion that you are broken? What does the body feel like to explore the sensations of not making other people's opinions "my fault"?
Playing with the sensory realms is all about expanding your heart through your whole body.
Living with kindness for ourselves, with kindness for our own mind, with kindness for the way I've walked in the world is still pretty uncommon. Yet it is natural!
This is a brief walk through sensing a way of being that we may never have felt before, a level of compassion that honors the difficulties we may have been through. Honoring our own journey in this way opens the door to feel free from the self-judgments that we've been conditioned to place above our wellness.
Giant meteor crashes, super-volcano eruptions that filled the atmosphere with nitrogen, ice ages that created a planetary hypothermia that meant the end of most surface life… Is there anything we can do to this planet that exceeds what it has already recovered from in its past?
Is fighting for the planet the most effective perspective? Or does fighting, even toward a goal of conservation, just create more to recover from?
Are we really worried about the planet or are we just trying to get our own attention?
Many have walked the planet as masters of their awareness and energy, deliberately working at the highest levels of consciousness to remedy and adjust what the miscreants put into place for their own grandeur. These expansive beings have lived and worked largely unacknowledged. Some have worked within the familiar societal systems, some sequestered. I’m sharing this to remind you that humanity has your back.
Today the consciousness of humanity is creating for the wellness of the planet on large scales. It’s main-stream, although you might have to look around to recognize it. Water Protectors, renewable energy, dissolving of gender barriers, the suggestion that war is no longer necessary…all of these are evidence of creation for the wellness of all. Recognition only expands and accelerates the wellness.
It's amazing how many messages are now shared for not being hard on one's self! Be kind to yourself. What a beautiful beginning.
The thing is, coming from an environment of subconscious punishments, how can you know what being kind in your own motivation feels like? How does it feel to act from kindness, even if that action is so familiar it usually runs on auto-pilot?
Your innate ability as a human to dance through multiple perspectives offers you freedom in every single moment of every single moment. It may seem strange at first, but that's only because we weren’t taught this approach to life in school. Isn’t it time to learn some new stuff about what we can do with the beauty and awesomeness of all that we are?
The mind is trying to help you survive. In a society where physical survival is well-in-hand with access to food, water and shelter, the concept of survival becomes a bit more creative. The perception of a life-and-death threat expands to include what people think and think about. The mind is trying to help You survive judgments.
Befriending the mind without denying its concerns is as simple as noticing when it's the mental programs and judgments behind the wheel. Why punish a mind that's just trying to survive? Can you honor it for what it's trying to do without doing everything it suggests?
The mind can absolutely expand upon that beauty and put focus on the next creation, the next house, the next car or relationship. Yet, it is still the heart emanating, always connected with the Universe that provides the true nourishment for any ideal to come into form.
TOOLtorials are created in this way because at some point, you will outgrow these tools as your basic "kit" and begin creating your own. You will integrate these levels of consciousness and begin seeing yourself express in new ways, with new levels of awareness and confidence, new levels of your own Integration. You'll know it because you'll feel it. And you'll see all around you how the outside world can not help but respond to You being and becoming more of You.
Flounder looks up and sees eagle flying above. He is not afraid of eagle because he knows that he will soon be in water. He wiggles his body again. Wiggles and wiggles, and he feels the spray of water touch the edges of his fins. He knew the water was there even though he could not see it. He trusted his trust.
Historically what is referred to as “common sense” has actually been based in an analysis of what is judged to be good or bad, right or wrong. It’s been based on the “right” or somehow obvious thing to do. From that assessment, one can supposedly determine if an action would be done from “common sense” or "carelessness". But this assessment requires that all of the participants have the same values, a decidedly common culture around value, what is good or bad, right, wrong or obvious.
For example, it may seem to be common sense in one culture to discipline a child with a spanking while in another culture a spanking is not an option - two different cultures have different assessments of what is good or bad, right, wrong or obvious. This is analysis, not sense.
The realm of sense is not about analysis. It is feeling, vibrational awareness of something we know because we feel it.
There is something different here
There's a reason why this concept of love is everywhere. It's because it's everywhere.
With people's hearts craving companionship and camaraderie, love and welcoming, consider how unfamiliar it is for most to sit together and simply enjoy each others' presence without any drama! A lot of people think they have to smoke something to get to that state of being when truly it's the most natural state of being we can be.
When I get to play with horses who have been through a lot, before I ever try to "help" them, I first let them see who I am. I open in every way, just walking around, doing what I do, not focusing on them. I let them see the times I have been less-than-divine with animals if they want to see, I let them see times when I was hard on myself, I let them see whatever they're going to see without hiding or trying to convince them of what they should see in me. When I feel an opening on any level of consciousness, that's when I ask, "How can I best assist?"
Clarity is the vehicle that allows humanity to surf these and other situations with grace. To recognize what we’re feeling as “information by sensation” means willingness to be aware and accessible to the sensations. Immunity comes when we let the sensations happen organically without trying to wrestle them into something more comfortable. Maybe it sounds like insanity at first, to roll with the sensations and not get in their way, but the true insanity is trying to avoid feeling something that actually IS happening.
All of the teachings, teachers, systems and even the conflicts are pointing in the same direction. Everything is pointing to an evolution of consciousness. The question is, who is listening and who is willing to go there?
Humanity is unique in all of nature with the ability to choose to go against one’s nature. A long history of domination and subjugation has woven into common belief that fighting is normal. That which is common is not necessarily normal.
It’s been a long, hard road. And the new road seems kind of hard, too. It’s not, actually, really. It’s just littered with debris. The hard part would be trying to stay on a road that wants to fling you off all the time. How about we’re done with that one now, eh?
I was given so many awarenesses that my journey with the animals was not about the animals, it was about humanity. Many times the reminder was given to me very directly, in words, that working with animals is actually about working with people. Of course I ignored that in preference of the safety I felt in the barn where I knew how to heal and regenerate every aspect of life. As long as it was at the barn.
Working with animals is actually about working with people. One day I looked in the mirror. There was a human there. It kind of freaked me out. That day, my perspective changed. That was the first day I actually considered applying the concept of the absence of judgment, although I did still have some fight in me.
If working with animals is actually working with people, and I am one of the people, what are we “working” on? Or with? Or what? It didn’t matter, as long as I was at the barn.
